There was a time when men were kind…
[/s] Mitts padded slowly through the snowy cemetery, bi-coloured orbs flicking this way and that as the scared fae cast her gaze around her surroundings, desperately looking out for any sign of danger. Her black pelt was laden with snow, although the seemingly endless sheet of frozen water had stopped now, leaving in its wake a deathly silence upon the air. A little distance away, a robin hopped from branch to branch on a barren tree, singing its heart out, not a care in the world. It was the season for him. But not for this canine. Shivering under her closely cropped pelt, she hunched down near the ground, begging the earth to warm up soon, or she was in danger of freezing to death. Paws were so cold, it was literally as if they were being stabbed with thousands of tiny needles, almost hot were they so intense. The gravestones around the mixed breed loomed up, like shadows, and she wondered why she had ever ventured here – Probably the most morbid place in the entire city. It was here the human dead were brought, to be honoured as their souls ascended into the next world, their bodies buried under a few feet of ground, never to see sunlight again. It scared the female to think of them, all the way down there, corpses, rotting, skeletons compressed under all that soil… Terrifying, indeed. She almost felt as if she should get off these lands, like her paws were only adding to the pain they must feel… But no. Where else could she wander? These lands held some shelter, and it would take too long to venture over the solid city again, weaving in-between the hundreds of human cars as they whizzed home, desperate to get out of the cold. Storm had seen enough accidents involving dogs in her past – Whether it simply be because the people were going to quickly, or merely because the roads had ice on them, making braking almost impossible. Another danger to burden the already troubled mind of the collie mix. Whilst the city was her home, it was a horrible, scary place, and she never felt truly safe. Her family had long since gone, when she was a tiny puppy, and only pure luck could have let her still be around today. Sighing softly to herself, Storm shook down her pelt once more, snorting quietly, and made her way forwards once more, leaving a trail of paw prints in her wake. Eventually, she stood at the edge of the Cemetery, and, leaning back on her hind legs, she managed to hook her forepaws over the cobbled wall of the field, vision wandering over the countryside before her. Miles and miles of greenery stretched forwards, a few barren trees dotted around here and there – Winter had killed the scenery, too. In summer, birds would be swooping over the grass, darting down to catch prey in the green stems. Flowers would be blossoming all over, the trees full and lush, leaves sprouting all over. But not now. Storm hated the cold months ahead, and winter had still only just started. It was very depressing. Her sides starting to ache, she hopped down once more, and spun around, nares taking in the scents. Nothing… Nothing but cold, icy air, the very same which chilled her right to the bone. Dropping her nose to the floor, she desperately tried to scent for company, anyone, anything, but to no avail. Her face fell, as she gathered herself up, bored and alone, in danger from the harsh weather building in the sky. Something had to happen soon…[/center] When their voices were soft…

Silent paws carried the mix breed through the line of humans. This place was huge, there were many streets and lanes leading into places that some humans probably didn't even know about. He came out into the street and followed it up a small rise. He then came to a sudden stop; the street had come to a tall hill and he sat at the top watching the world go by....
What lay before him was quite amazing. There were many humans about, walking around or shopping for God only knows. He could see people running around with their kids. Or lovers walking along holding hands, their eyes full of light and happiness. Dogs ran with their owners as they jogged along the sidewalk, some looking like they were about to pass out from the exercise. The thing the bothered the mix so bad was that they were all happy. Smiling and running about. And here he was dying it seemed.
His heart was just not into anything anymore. It had been about a week since Riley was taken away. He had gotten over that, somewhat. But to top it all off, the icing on the cake. The one dog he truly loved in all his life. A pretty Labrador named Alyth, had just up and left him for a friend of his. One of the true street dogs he had befriended. Sighing the brute looked down at his massive paws. He had the urge to scream, call out to anyone, anything. He was overcome with the emotion to cry as well. But both those combined into one and his head reared back and he let lose a howl full of sorrow and pain. Making a few of the humans walking past him stop and stare with wide, wide eyes. Some kids stood there and watched him, nodding in approvement. As if they wanted to see him in pain.
He snarled at them, taking a threatening step forward. He let out a fierce booming bark to warn them. The kids screamed and ran off. The doberman mix smirked. How sad. Those ugly things would never have as many 'friends' as he did. Of course, you didn't have kin with your friends, but this mutt had more than 'friends'.
As he spotted a gorgeus looking fea in the graveyard, he turned to look at her better. She had two amazing eyes... one blue, one brown. But was she witty? Was she the kind that you could have fun with, or was she just a pretty face. The brujo smirked as he trotted up to her, eyes twinkling with amusement.
"What cha doing babe?" He said smoothly. This was a routine he did to meet girls. It was all too easy mostly.

(Terrible post, I'm sorry. x.x) And their words inviting…
[/s] Closing her bi-coloured eyes for a moment, Storm relaxed onto her haunches, just for a minute taking in the surrounding noises and sounds from across the area around her. A distance away, a large dog barked, making it’s presence known, and the ever-present traffic drove slowly along down a road, that which was not to far from the crumbly cemetery walls. A child laughed, running dangerously close to the place where Storm was hiding, although of course, he stayed to the fields that bordered this place. Why did the humans make such an area? A place where their bodies were buried under so much soil, leaving them for the worms to eat. It sent shivers of fear up her spine, as if the intense snow hadn’t already made it worse. Sighing, she opened up watery pools once more, and was surprised to see another dog approaching. Getting swiftly up to her feet, she took a single step back, hackles rising around her neck. Who was he? Did he come looking for trouble? Or merely to make friends, as she had hoped? Her lips trembled around her teeth, threatening a growl to break loose, but she withheld it, scolding herself inwardly. That was what drove them away. This spilt personality, diseased though it may be, but a part of her personality. Another reason why she had never found a mate, no matter how much she dearly wanted too. Tail curved slightly, hiding under her bodice, and she waited until he stood before her, his frame coming into her vision perfectly. He was handsome – No denying that. But she would never fall to someone over looks alone. That was fools’ business. Instead, she kept a wary eye on him, as his introduction threatened someone looking for something. She tried to hold her head high, a desperate attempt to not look a complete idiot, but she simply could not do it – Written into her soul, she was destined to keep the personality she had, whether she liked it or not. Breathing slowly, she gathered up the courage to speak, and clear, pure vocals escaped her throat, echoing clear and pure across the lands. “Oh, n-nothing, sir…” She managed to stutter, her larynx closing slightly as nerves squeezed it shut. Now, instead of a snarl, a whimper began to grow in her chest, but she swallowed it, and looked at the stranger a little more, not quite backing down, but certainly not making a great impression, anyway… There was a time when love was blind…

Bod froze as he heard the fea speak. Dial turned so he could regard her carefully with mahogany optics. To him her appearance was not in the least threating, and he would even dare to say she was pretty. Pillars were spaced evenly apart, back straight, giving him the look as if he was waiting for someone. Auds tipped at her voice, dial tilted slightly. A low tremor moved throughout his bod, for it was not often he got to see another dog, much less talk to some as eye catching as she. A slow grin spread across his maw as she approached and his plume wagged slowly.
"Nice to meet you ,I am Jet." he dipped his muzzle in greeting. "The day is fine, and I am well. What about you?" He asked curiously, politely. His tone was low and gruff, but somehow still smooth as glass. Mahogany optics glinted playfully.
