Name - Sally
Age - 3 Years
Breed - Sloughi
Personality -
Sally is very soft-spoken and has a sense of royalty about her, though she would never consider herself something like that. She tends to think rather lowly of herself, and is not one to take compliments seriously. She just politely says no and moves on. On the other hand, Sally is all about lightening a dog's day.
Fighting is something that Sally is not too keen on. She prefers settling things in a civil manner. She has little skill or knowledge of fighting, and for this reason, if such a thing even has a potential of occuring, Sally is gone with the wind, never to return to the scene. Humans however, are another matter all together. She is nervous around them, merely for what pain a single human has caused her, though Sally doesn't seem to have a hating bone in her body, and she doesn't blame the entire race for what one has done to her for she has encountered a few kind ones.
Love and pups are a matter that Sally does not take lightly. She has been very observant of mateship in her three years on earth, always dreaming of that special someone. Through her observations, she has discovered that love is sometimes falsley stated. Some claim to be in love with eachother, and are in it for merely the joys of breeding come spring. Others state their love and dissapear in different directions, rarely seeing eachother but miraculously reuniting come spring time. Point is, most are in it from breeding. However, Sally has promised herself that she will wait to find true love, and will be sure that her mate is kind, caring and that they will be together and keep a good knowledge of eachother. As far as pups go, Sally simply adores them. She wants anything and everything to do with them, and is not afraid of what others may think if she is found romping around playfully with them. If she never has pups of her own, Sally would likely not hesitate to adopt a lonely pup off the streets.
Overall, the fact remains that Sally is pretty much a goody two shoes. Trying to be the peacemaker and please everyone in every situation, sometimes getting her in trouble. She's a sweet girl, and likely a good friend, companion, or mother.

Long, powerful back legs were the engine of any sloughi. One might compare their relationship with thier legs similar to that of a kangaroo. It was hard to imagine living life to the fullest without her backlegs. The three year sloughi could easily recall the many times that her pair of engines had driven her away from discomfort and trouble. One might wish to call her a scaredy cat, or anything similar, and it would be true. Sally had not yet learned to conquer the ability to stand up for herself, and if she came across trouble, it was in her nature to simply run from it. Get herself out of it. Anyway you wanted to look at it, she ran from her problems. Quite literally.
At this moment, her creamy limbs were carrying her across Hatley Park. In the winters, Sally cursed her short coat. But at times like this, she was so happy to not have to lug around a heavy winter coat that she felt like doing backflips. There was not a cloud in the blue sky, and no clouds made it much easier for the sun to pentrate the city quite directly. She'd recently arrived here, after being physically abused by her former owner, she'd left when the gate had been accidentally left open. Her travels in this hot season had been tough, and the search for water had been a challenge each and every day, but after finding this canine infested city, Sally had took it upon herself to make herself welcome in this place. She did not know much about it's landmarks or the places where good things could be found. She knew she would likely not join a pack, and that she'd make her own life here. And that was about it.
Approaching a large tree, the creamy sloughi noticed the shade that engulfed it. About five yards from it, was a small pond, and at first, Sally thought herself to be hallucinating. The heat was getting to all the dogs, and it was worse when you had no real home to take shelter in. Forcing herself to reach the edge of the pond and endure a bit more time without shade, Sally reached the water's edge, her long, pink tongue hanging out from the side of her mouth almost carelessly. She was weak from the journey, and after the cool water touched her maw, she could not resist and let her body fall into it's shallow waters. As soon as her body was engulfed in the cool water of the pond, she felt an odd sensation of peace rush through her. However, it wasn't long until her lungs cried for air, and she burst her head through the water, smiling and emerging effortlessly. The short swim had truly softened her hard and pained body, and now she was ready for a nap.
So, she emerged from the water, shaking her soaked body to release a good amount of pond water. Carrying herself with new found energy, Sally reached the tree and collapsed at it's roots. Curling herself into a tight ball, she closed her eyes slowly until all she saw was the black of her eyelids. And only seconds later, the sloughi was asleep, her body moving up and down gently with every breath she took, her life fully at mercy with any who passed by, but Sally did not live her life worrying about the risks, but rather doing what was called for at the time.
